I worked for Raytheon Aircraft for almost 10 years and retired in 2006. I am loving not working, well I must admit that I take care of 3 wonderful granddaughters when they are not in school. I keep the 3 mos old EVERY day. It is a great pleasure to WORK for nothing.

My x-husband died in 2005 and that allowed me to retire even earlier than age 62. I decided it would be wise to enjoy the rest of my life. I don’t miss the stress. My X was only 57 when he “dropped” dead. Makes you think.

I now live in Benton.

Bobbie, I know what you mean. I thoroughly enjoyed being involved with the Survivor Breakfast and all the other things that we did to support the Race for the Cure. Now that I see the day through a survivor’s eyes, I truly can appreciate all the hard work that goes into making it such a success. It’s an incredible day and thanks for being there.

A couple of years ago Rhonda Howard told me that she is in terrible pain and the doctor she had did surgery on her back and she went from bad to worse and did I know of a good surgeon. I mentioned a doctor at UAMS but told her it was very difficult to get in to see him. Well I just got a call from Wanda and she said the doctor di d wonders for her. He could not repair her back, degenerative disc, but he did ease the pain. She still has no use of the right side of her body but is thankful for what she has. Also she said that this ordeal and the pain has increased her faith and she is a born again Christian.

Rhonda Howard informed me that her mother, Wylodene Polk, who worked for Teletype for 13 years was killed in an automobile accident in 1976.
Wylodene was set-up in cables.

I’m not lost.Im just down here in the town of Sheridan.But i’m glad you found me.Ilost my husband three years ago in August.He had lung cancer.He was my best friend also. It,s been hard but i know a lot of you have been through the same thing.My family keeps me busy.I do take a little time for myself.I’m going on a cruise in June. Never have been on one.So it’s a big thing for me.

Good to hear from you and that you and Pat are doing well. Takes me back to the days of the Low Cost Keyboard. One of the best parts of monitoring the blog is getting to remove names from the “Missing Persons” list and adding them to the email list. I had forgotten that John was your uncle. I have corrected the spelling of his name but left him on the “Missing” list until we get an email address for him.

Bobbie, as I bought cards for my family I was filled with memories of Gary at Valentine’s.
I am sure lots of folks had those same wonderful memories. I sure miss him. Hope all is well with your family. Would love to see pictures of the kids.

Lennie, I don’t know if you remember me or the short time I worked for you in QA but I remember you and will always appreciate you helping me in my “delimma” at that time. I don’t know how long your tenure was in Little Rock but I remember when you came and was fortunate to have worked for you and known you.

She worked at the plant for 14 years before retiring.
