I am still living in Colorado. I worked for Teletype/AT&T there in Little Rock as a Electronics Tech from 1977 until 1992, then transferred to Denver. I later worked in St. Louis and Atlanta and then back to Denver. I finished up in Denver working for Lucent in 1999.
Alan Blakley (AKA Killer)
Alan, it is good to hear you are alive and living in Colorado. I was wondering just where you would end up with a nickname “Killer.” By the way, I remember you being called that, but never knew just why you were. How did you get that alias?

Hey there Ken. Good to hear from you. Hope you’re doing well.
I got the nickname Killer as a joke. I hired in to Teletype when I was 19. I was kinda shy and kept to myself a lot. Somebody asked about me and a couple of the guys told them to stay away from me because I was on a work release program from Cummins. My crimes were rape and murder. Hence the name Killer. It stuck for a couple of decades and through several states.
Oh well, it kept things interesting.

Hey Killer, wish I would’ve known you were in Colorado. Roseanne and I took a road trip out there a year ago, we would’ve looked you up. Next time you come to Benton look me up I’m in the phone book or e-mail me.

Killer(Alan)
I live on 16.5 acres down south of Benton at Tull, AR. Moved there bout 4 yrs. ago. Only stayed in St. Louis for 1 yr. & got home sick for da Ark. So moved back in 1997.

Killer, do you have a pic from back then, I know the nick name “Killer” but I’m having a hard time putting a face to the name. I’m Bruce Roberts brother-in law. I worked in the machine shop from 1973-till-1988 when I got laid — off.

I don’t know if I do have any pictures…I was always camera shy. Either that or the cameras just broke.
I hired into the card shop in ‘77 as a tech. and left in ‘92. had long hair.
