George Foo

Hi Folks,Let me thank Paul Parker for pointing out this site to me. The blog brings back some very fond memories of my time in Little Rock between 1990 to 95. My family and I had a great time. We remember the friendly people, the weekends at the Lake and I remember those wonderful golf outings at Fairfield Bay.

I left Little Rock in 95 and took an assignment in Hong Kong with AT&T and then Lucent. I was there for 5 years as the VP of Operations for Network Systems. I returned to the USA in 2000 and worked out of Naperville, Illinois. As you all know, the Telecom business crashed and I took the package and left Lucent in October 2001. I immediately accepted a job with Emerson Electric who moved me back to Hong Kong where I am the EVP of Operations for one of their larger divisions (Astec Power). It was a wise and good move for me since Emerson is a very solid company and reminds me of the Western Electric that I joined in 1977. Wow ….. I can’t believe that I have been in Asia for 12 of the last 14 years!

Anyway, I miss you all and wish you the best. Please feel free to write back!

  1. George,

It’s great to hear from you. This blog brings back a lot of memories of the “good old days” of trying to implement ISO 9001 in engineering. It’s good to hear that you are doing well and enjoying Hong Kong. Keep in touch!
