Hi all and thanks to everyone involved in creating this site.
What a journey it has been. Hired on at Teletype as an Elect Tech in Jan 1974, transferred to Dallas in Oct 1993. Managed to keep my job through all the changes from AT&T>Lucent Tech>Tyco Electronics and most recently Lineage Power, hopefully my skills and luck hold up with this recent change. As I told my kids, since I have been in Dallas I have worked for 4 different companies and basically still sit in the same chair!! I have worked various assignments since being in Dallas – Supervisor Material Planning & Distribution; Customer Service Project Manager; SAP IT Project Manager and currently I’m a project manager implementing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions with our customers.
As some of you may recall, I have 4 daughters (with 3 trips to the hospital). Two are married (2 weddings within 7 months!!), one in college, one working hard as a single mom of my 7 year old grandson who can do no wrong
As you can see, I have no hope for retiement in the near future.
Kathy and I will hit our 30 year mark this year and everyone is healthy…..God is good.

Hey Bill,
I thought of you not long ago when I drove through Dermott on the way to the beach. Hate to say but our old part of the world (remember I am from Portland) doesn’t look to good.
Take care,
John

Bill,
It is good to hear that you made it through those trying years. Not the ones related to your employment, but the ones with FIVE women in the house!! I am happy to inform you that if you live long enough for your children to reach 30 years of age, you will hear things from their mouths that you never thought you would hear.
And as for their children, I NOW know why grandparents enjoy them so much. It is PAYBACK!! Seriously however, it is good to hear you have progressed closer to the day when you too will become eligible for the “Senior Citizen” discounts. I used to answer “Retired” when asked for my place of employment by a clerk about to accept my check, but now I reply “Unemployed.” The look on their faces switched from envy to pity after that change. I enjoy messing with their mind. Take care.

Hi! Bill,
Still at it, Huh? Glad to hear things are good. My life is a run of classes in the AM. then I head over to the restaurant afterwards. Classes are great! Restaurant is for sell! It does great but I’m tired of the race. Keep in touch.

Hey, Bill. Good to see you on here and that you’re surviving all that estrogen.
